OUR MISSIONSLV Neighborhood Roots is a garden collective hub for the San Luis Valley, a container for the many neighborhood garden cooperatives growing across our valley. Each group gets its own community calendar, message board, and photo gallery to make organizing easy and to document the life of your garden season by season. It is also a place to connect with other garden groups across the valley.
Neighborhood Garden Groups
An established garden group in Chalet II has lost a couple of members from their garden group, due to medical issues. They are seeking able bodied individuals looking to join a garden group.Email site facilitator to be connected...
IT'S SIMPLE TO GET STARTEDWe put together a free guide to help neighbors get started. It walks you through everything you need: how to start your group in five steps with no applications, no fees, and no experience required. How to find unused garden space and greenhouses in your neighborhood. How to share tools, seeds, and harvests fairly. How to donate surplus to local food banks. And how to connect to the valley-wide CSA network when your group is ready.Download the free guide and plant the first seed.
To have your garden group added to the system, please contact the site facilitator.
